Built in 2009 this retail strip center located on the Dover/Somersworth line was constructed using a design build delivery method. The large shopping center is made of a steel frame design with spaces ideal for retail, wholesale, professional office, business office, restaurant, personal service, dry cleaning, fitness/athletics, medical, dental, etc.
Using a building design and construction process known as design/build, Summit Engineering worked with Whitcher Builders Inc. on this 15,000-SF retail building project. The structure was designed using structural steel, which allowed for flexibility in the interior space and phased construction. Design challenges included tall parapets for signage and large storefront windows.
