Summit Engineering provided structural design for this new 525-bed,
160,000-SF, five-story dormitory. Project includes a 320-seat dining
hall, conference facilities, and faculty housing and will be applying
for LEED Certification. The building construction type consists of
composite steel framing, and includes a 65-foot clear span bridge
structure connecting the northern and southern portions of the building.
Due to a compressed schedule, complete structural design for this project
was accomplished in under six months. Project delivery required a complete
building model using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
